Claire and Vito’s Bavaria Downs wedding at Woodland Glasshaus in Chaska, Minnesota, was timeless, heartfelt, and beautifully executed. While the design and setting were undeniably elegant, what stood out most was the intentional focus on connection. From the moment the day began, their love for each other—and their people—took center stage. This wasn’t just a beautiful event; it was a meaningful celebration full of warmth, emotion, and joy.
Woodland Glasshouse is exactly what it sounds like: a modern glass atrium tucked inside a forest. The entire venue feels like it was plucked from a storybook. With panoramic views of the surrounding woods, couples can soak in the beauty of nature without worrying about unpredictable weather. Despite its fresh, modern design, the venue maintains an air of classic charm. It’s light-filled and intimate, with enough space for everything from ceremony to cocktails to dancing. This Chaska Wedding venue features both ceremony and dining atriums in addition to an outdoor patio area. It’s one you have to see to fully appreciate & I hope to photograph more weddings at this stunning location!
Claire wore a strapless, button-back wedding gown that was the definition of classic elegance. It was classic and a silhouette she’ll still love 50 years from now. Her bridesmaids wore flattering black dresses in a variety of styles, letting everyone feel like their best selves. Keeping with the theme of stunning elegance, the florals consisted of white roses, soft greenery, and small white filler blooms that created a fresh, timeless bouquet. Hurricane vases, tapered candles, and silver chargers gave the reception tables a touch of timeless sophistication. Everything was beautifully executed! However, this wedding stood out for more than just its aesthetics.
Claire and Vito wrote heartfelt, individualized letters to every single guest… including me. Each note was thoughtful, emotional, and personal, something you don’t see every day. They also had Claire’s grandmother serve as their flower girl and incorporated their college football rivalry with a surprise mascot appearance at the reception. Every detail reflected who they are: fun, grounded, deeply in love, and madly devoted to the people who surround them. From singing to each other on the dance floor to laughing during toasts under the glow of string lights, Claire and Vito’s love was at the heart of every single moment.
Woodland Glasshaus has endless perks. Among these are the beautiful setting, copious amounts of natural lighting, and ease of access for guests. (As a photographer, I also really love the glass house vibe in general). However, there are a few things I would recommend my future clients keep in mind if they’re considering this location:
Dress – Che Bella
Tux – The Black Tux
Venue – Woodland Glasshaus at Bavarian Downs
Makeup Artist – Lady Vamp Artistry
Catering – D’amico Hospitality
