Eternalized
moments

big and small

connection, intimacy, truth

putting storytelling first

Beautiful photography can be done by so many, but the most important part of documenting your moments is finding someone who can speak the words of your story through the medium of images.

Our number one goal going into any session or wedding is to take your hand and help you tell us your story your way, frame by frame.

your love is

We're not out here to be cheesy y'all. When it comes to posing, we like to take a bit of a hands off approach without making you feel like you don't know what to do with your hands. We focus on movement-led poses that are simple enough for everyone to be able to do! If something isn't looking right or awkward, we will immediately refocus what we're doing and work out the kinks!

Trust is essential in this: you have to trust that we're not going to put you in a pose that looks weird (at least not weird in a bad way!), and we have to trust that you're available to be open and vulnerable with us. We know getting your photos taken can be hectic! Our job is to make it feel as simple as breathing, and by 10-15 minutes it starts to feel natural to move with your loved one and be your authentic self.

I know it feels like we're pushing this down your throat, but trust is SO essential to this entire process! In order for us to do our jobs and to give you the type of photographs you want, trust and connection is key. It's a strange relationship where the moment we come together it's an instant friendship: we are there for you, and you are open with us. We aren't client and photographer: we're just a couple of friends hanging out who happen to have a camera.

Our number one role in this gig is being visual storytellers, and if you don't trust us and we don't know you, it's almost impossible for that to happen. Almost every person we photograph in the beginning talks about how awkward/shy they are, and that's okay! We're here to help guide you through the entire process.

When it comes to how we photograph weddings and sessions, getting the pretty perfect shot is not even near the top of our list. We see photographers as historians, documenting lives as they are happening for future generations to see. We love to document movement, laughter lines, tears, and moments of pure love that will stand the test of time. Our biggest goal for our work is to be pillars of your past that when you look back on them, you feel exactly as you did when the photograph was taken, no matter how many years later it is.

Remember, photographs never devaluate: they are a testament of time, and only become more precious as the years go by. No matter if they get bent or slightly torn or lose their coloring a bit, what matters most is the emotions and connections of the day.

Say it with us: LISTEN TO YOURSELF!!

Especially when it comes to weddings, we both know how incessant family and friends can get, caring about you and your day so much that they become like a little mosquito buzzing around your ear that you kinda, maybe want to smack.

Take a breath.

Remember that no matter what you decide, your loved ones will still love you, and this is one of your once-in-a-lifetime moments: why waste it trying to people please? Think about what YOU two want out of your day, and make that shit happen! Whether you want a funky, psychedelic dreamland, or a garden tea party (or maybe something NOT Alice in Wonderland themed), make sure the day screams YOU!

Listen: we've been to a LOT of weddings. When I say a lot, I mean A LOT. We've worked with every single kind of budget you could think of, and have experienced the epic highs and lows of being a wedding photographer.

With all that gathered up knowledge, we are the perfect little experts to help you easily navigate through the wedding process. Whether you have questions about photography, or literally anything else having to do with weddings, more than likely we have an answer or can find one out for you.

Just imagine us as being your back pocket saviors, because while wedding planning is fun, it's also a LOT of hard work, and we're just here to make everything easier on the two of you.

Mossfloor Photography has been and always will be a safe place for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as any member of the BIPOC community. We are also devoutly inclusive towards those with any sort of disability, be that physical or mental.

We are both open hearted, caring individuals who want everyone to feel as safe and loved as possible, no matter who they are.

Everyone has a history, has loved ones, has memories they'd love to keep. We will, without hesitation, document anyone's love stories, romantic, platonic or elsewise.
